I am that person who imagines to do something out of waste products and GETS IT DONE. I want to turn my imaginations into reality, it's safer to put it that way I guess. But off from all the ramblings, I made these makeup holders today and they turned out really good. They are so simple, yet too cute. It's always good to have something that reminds you of your creativity on your table/ work area.
Things needed:
1) Soda can / Sweets can (Any cans for that matter would work great!)
2) Colorful sheets/ papers / patterned paper. (I printed out a colorful pattern for my DIY holder)
3) Satin ribbons (To make it more pretty)
4) Scissors / Paper cutter
5) Glue
How do I do it?
Just take the soda can or any other sweet can. I made myself out of the sweets can and removed all the sharp edged top steel part.
Make sure that they are all really safe so you don't get your hands hurt.
Take your selected paper patters and wrap it around the soda can.
Take a good glue and apply a few spots onto the outer body of the can and roughly adhere the patterned paper to the can and don't apply much pressure at this point as you might want to make sure that the required pattern sits right on the can.
Once you are happy with the result, use a cotton cloth and gently pat it on to the surface of the can so the patterned paper sticks on to the can.
For the bottom edges, as we don't want it to be wobbly, first try to slip on the excess to the inside. So, you can have a crease line on the edge of the Can before you cut it neatly with the scissors or a paper cutter.
I personally like the gold/ silver part (edges) sticking out on the top as it gave a beautiful finish to the holder.
And Voila, with all your creativity your DIY makeup holder is ready to use!

~Stay awesome~
