Mascara review (Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara or Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara)

If you are a beginner to makeup and want to buy things that you could wear on a regular basis, then I would definitely do a mascara in the lot (Everyday affordable makeup essentials for college goer will be updated soon on my blog!). Mascara not only gives definition to your eyes, but also makes it pop. It adds on a great length to the lashes and gives you a glam finish.

Today, I am going to review the Lakme Eyeconic curling mascara and the Maybelline Volume Express mascara. Both are more or less the same price but can give you two different looks. 

Lakme Eyeconic Mascara

Price: Rs. 263/- for 9 ml

Glam points:  

Use: Everyday

Recommendation: I will definitely repurchase this product!

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara

Price: Rs. 360/- for 9ml

Glam Points: 

Use: Everyday (Gives you more volume)

Recommendation: I don't think I would repurchase this product.

When I wanted to buy a mascara that was available in the market I had to decide between these two. These two were the ones that were affordable and also had what I was looking for. The lakme eyeconic mascara brush is nice and curved and which makes it easy to apply it on the lashes. This gives your lashes a good curled look and lengthens your lashes but does not add moare volume. This mascara is not clumpy. It is very nice and thick and gives your lashes that curved, intense look which makes your eyes pop. I think for a everyday use this is a perfect addition to your vanity. 

The maybelline volume express mascara on the other hand, has a big and thick applicator that adds extra volume to your lashes and makes it look so thick and voluminous. But it definitely does not give that curled look that you may be looking for. If you have thin lashes and looking for extra volume in your lashes without adding false lashes this is definitely the one for you. Instead if you are having pretty thick lashes but you need a more enhanced and pushed up look you should go for the lakme eyeconic one. It is even more affordable than the maybelline colossal volume express mascara.
